NOTE TO FINANCIAL AID RECIPIENTS

Associate of Arts & Science Requirements

Core Requirements:
  1. A minimum of 60 credits is required. When completing these 60 credits, students must satisfy one of the following:
    1. At least 36 of the 60 credits must be earned in the UW Colleges, or
    2. At least 12 of the final 24 credits must be earned in the UW Colleges.
  2. A student must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 earned at the UW Colleges and 2.0 overall GPA in credits applied to the Associate of Arts and Science degree.
  3. UW Colleges General Education Requirements must be fulfilled (see below).
General Education Requirements:
  1. Core requirements (Grade of C or better in or exemption from the following):
    1. Writing: English 102
    2. Mathematics: Math 108 or Math 110
  2. Breadth Requirements
    1. Fine Arts and Humanities: (minimum of 9 credits)
    2. Mathematical and Natural Sciences: (minimum of 11 credits)
    3. Social Sciences: (minimum of 9 credits)
    4. Application and Performance: (minimum of 3 credits)
    5. Ethnic Studies: (minimum of 3 credits
    6. Interdisciplinary Studies: (minimum of 3 credits)
  3. Electives: A student who has met the core requirements and the other breadth category minimums may complete the 60-credit minimum requirement with courses in this category.
